I would like to thank all the PTSA members and staff who assisted in making the Welcome Back BBQ a success. Kudos to Tracy and Don Tew for their leadership and hard work throughout the event. The large turnout was especially surprising since we had stiff competition from the NFL, Rascal Flatts, and the High School Open House. We also hope to continue the forging of a Community School built upon active participation from the PTSA.  That means we need to have Parents, Teachers, and Students working together in making the children’s  experience more enjoyable and fulfilling.  Additionally, the teachers have been “tweaking” the rigorous curriculum set forth by New York States Reform Agenda. This “tweaking” will ease the transition for your student  to prepare them for the skills required to be successful globally.  The staff has been provided with the tools to meet the demands of the Common Core with a Writers Workshop  curriculum for ELA , Expressions curriculum for math, and an array of technology devices in every classroom.

In Stewardship,
James Martinez
Principal
